Getting Ready in the Main House
Kassandra began her day getting ready in the Bluevault main house, a modern space with clean lines and beautiful natural light. The large windows in the living area provided a soft, flattering glow—perfect for portraits. One of the most photogenic locations was the entryway, with its high ceilings and stunning front doors, which served as a great backdrop for portraits.
One highlight from the morning was Kassandra’s first look with her dad. She chose to walk down the main staircase as he turned around—an emotional moment framed beautifully by the architectural design of the house.
Ceremony with a Mountain View
The ceremony took place outdoors, with Bluevault’s signature stone staircase playing a key role. Kassandra made her entrance with both her parents, descending the stairs toward the ceremony site. This stone staircase is not only a unique design feature, but it also adds a touch of grandeur to the walk down the aisle.
Brett and Kassandra saw each other for the first time at the altar, surrounded by family, friends, and panoramic views of Pemberton’s mountains.
Cocktail Hour & Portraits
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails on the property while we captured group photos. Later, I took some time with the newlyweds for their couple portraits. It was a smoky day from nearby forest fires, which cast a hazy golden light over the mountains—creating magical sun rays as the sun dipped lower in the sky.
Kassandra and Brett included their dog Kona in their portraits—adding a personal and playful touch to their wedding photos at Bluevault. Having your dog involved is always welcome!
Bluevault Weddings Pemberton offers plenty of scenic spots for photography, from open fields to forested corners. Even with the smoke, the setting sun provided a dramatic and moody atmosphere that was perfect for photos.
Dinner and Speeches
Dinner took place outdoors with speeches woven throughout the meal. The evening cooled down just enough to make it comfortable for guests to relax and enjoy the views. After dinner, we explored the property for a few more portraits of Kassandra and Brett with the soft post-sunset light behind them.
Dancing
The night wrapped up with dancing under the open sky. Bluevault’s layout allows for easy transitions between different parts of the day—there’s space for every phase of the wedding, from ceremony to reception to late-night celebration.
