Snowy Whistler Engagement Session | Roshni & Lucas
When Roshni contacted me, she was really hoping for a snowy engagement session. Whistler can be a little unpredictable with the valley temperatures - but on the morning of their session, it started snowing and didn’t stop! It was exactly what they were after - a snowy engagement session in Whistler!
We went to Green Lake to take photos - there wasn’t much of a view that day, but it didn’t matter with all the snow everything looked amazing! They brought their cute dog Smash along for the engagement session (something I always recommend doing!) and he absolutely loved the snow too!
Here’s a little more about their story:
How did you two meet?
We met on Tinder but quickly learned that we were living across the street from each other and eventually had our first date at the Irish pub right below in the middle of a snowstorm.
How did Lucas propose?
So Lucas had planned to propose on top of Whistler’s peak and had been snowboarding with a ring in his pocket in pow conditions for three days! Given the limited visibility, he ended up doing it right outside the Fairmont’s Christmas-lit trees surrounded by snow near the hotel’s valet area.
What is special about Whistler to you?
We love adventure and the mountains and it is lovely to be able to share that together and challenge each other on the slopes. We are so lucky to live near one of the world’s best ski resorts and if there ever was a place I imagined Lucas popping the question, this was it! No matter what’s going on in life, we are both always elated to come up to Whistler, try new things and take in the vibrancy of the beautiful village.
I’m so happy Roshni and Lucas got their snowy engagement photography wish! Congratulations again to you both.
Here are a few of my favourite photos from their snowy engagement session in Whistler.
If you would like to book an engagement session I’d love to hear from you!
