Wedding Day at Nita Lake Lodge

Kelly and Mick celebrated their wedding at Nita Lake Lodge in late August, surrounded by close friends and family. They chose to bypass the traditional first look, opting instead for portraits near the lodge and then with family, showcasing the venue's on-site photo opportunities.

Ceremony Highlights

The ceremony was held under the Porte-cochère, an outdoor space with Douglas-fir and western red cedar architecture, offering views of Whistler Mountain. The flower girls led the way at the start of the ceremony with a little help from Cailey the wedding planner.

Evening Portraits and Celebrations

Following the ceremony, a group photo session under the Porte-cochère kicked off the reception, which featured a cocktail hour with an oyster bar and speeches. In a unique twist, a pub quiz was held after dinner, replacing traditional speeches.

For evening portraits, the couple chose a location at the opposite end of Nita Lake, capturing the lodge against a backdrop of a pink-hued sky. The festivities concluded with dancing and a shot ski activity for guests.
