Cheakamus Canyon Engagement Photography, Squamish | Melissa & Mike
We can all agree this year has been hard for so many couples having their wedding day plans changed. Melissa and Mike were meant to get married this summer in Squamish, but Covid put a hold on their original wedding plans.
I offered them an engagement photo session as their plans had changed - Mike suggested an area I haven’t been before, the Cheakamus Canyon. He had hiked to this location before and said it would only take around 20/30 minutes….turns out it is a little further up the Sea to Sky trail, but It was a beautiful afternoon with a few clouds in the sky, and the views were well worth the hike up there!
When we got to the view point we cracked a couple of beers and checked out the view down the Cheakamus Canyon - this area really is a beautiful spot for couples/engagement photos! Squamish is such a beautiful area with amazing views, lush green forests and beautiful rivers, and we were lucky enough to photograph each of these along the hike to the Cheakamus Canyon.
Their dog Mylee joined us for the photo session - I love dogs, and love it when a couple or family bring their furry family member along!
Originally Mike and Melissa planned to get married at Sunwolf in Squamish - a beautiful rustic wedding venue with on site cabins for guests to stay, and initially they decided to postpone the wedding for another year. But now they are planning a small intimate wedding with close friends this weekend in Squamish and I can’t wait to capture more memories for them to share with friends and family!
Here are some of my favourites.
